Criminal Justice Programs

Law Enforcement
Law enforcement professionals are tasked with investigating criminal activities, maintaining order and protecting life and property by enforcing local, tribal, State, or Federal laws and ordinances. Classes in this program prepare students for a variety of career paths by covering criminal justice, criminology, victimology, the legal process, forensics, and more.

Private Security
Security officers guard, patrol, and monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules. The program covers an introduction to the field, along with training in forensics, criminal investigations, and the legal process.

Homeland Security
Employees for the Department of Homeland Security are responsible for the protection and security of government officials and American citizens. Courses in the program cover a wide variety of topics to prepare each graduate for a range of career paths. Students will receive an introduction to private/industrial security, law enforcement, and criminal justice, as well as classes in ethics and professionalism, the U.S. constitution, the legal process, criminal law, criminology, and Homeland Security.

Corrections officers are responsible for guarding inmates and prisoners in a variety of situations. This program covers an introduction to both criminal justice and corrections, as well as criminology, juvenile justice, and the judicial process.
